Hours: Weekday morning hours between 9:00 am -2:30 pm and weekday evening hours between 4:00 pm -9:00 pm. Weekend hours between 8:00 am -6:00 pm.
The position is open for roughly 20 group lesson hours per week. Private lessons are available upon client request and available court time.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: maintaining control and monitoring the building, overseeing room rentals, emergency response and crisis management, accident and incident reporting, behavior management, greeting patrons as they come in and go out and assisting patrons and program instructors as needed. Qualifications: Ability to conduct safe and effective exercise classes as well as assist individuals in the development of a safe and effective exercise program. Must be a nationally certified instructor in group fitness. Knowledge of basic anatomy, physiology, strength training and cardiovascular exercise necessary to ensure the safety of all members and patrons is required. Current primary group exercise certification through ACE, AFAA, NETA, or SCW, and CPR certification required. Prefer at least 1 year of previous teaching experience in a variety of cardio formats such as kickboxing, cardio circuits, boot-camp, step, along with experience teaching weights and strength training formats. Salary: $8.50 -$12.00 for floor duties / Training session compensation is based on commission and level of expertise.

Qualifications: Must be passionate about fitness, self motivated and willing to develop clientele. BS degree in an exercise-related field from an accredited university is preferred. 2-5 years previous personal training experience preferred. Nationally certified as a personal trainer through NSCA, ACSM, AFAA, ACE, NASM, or WITS with experience in health club activities. Must be certified in CPR and First Aid. Must be in and maintain good physical condition and neat appearance in order to establish effective relationships with members and co-workers. Duties: Under the direction and supervision of the Supt. of Recreation and the Assistant Facility Manager, this person will act as the District’s outdoor aquatics recreation administrator in addition to fulfilling Recreation Supervisor functions related to athletics at the Vaughan Athletic Center. The successful candidate will act as the park district’s liaison to Jeff Ellis Management for oversight and coordination of both the indoor and outdoor aquatic center operations.
